Well, who am I? I don't think I can even put who I am into words, descriptions of things I like, things I don't like etc. don't really say who I am, but as far as it goes, I'll use these to describe myself. I don't think that anyone can truly say who they are, because who you are is everything about you. The way you think, the way you feel, what you belive, and things you do. A journal can only say so much about you, but I'll try to fill out the things about me as best I can.
I'm twenty six and live in a rural area in Australia. I live with my partner, and am owned by four cats and two dogs. I'm a console operator at a service station, and I hate it. I also work on a casual basis at a vet surgery, which I love. I had to give up my permanent part time hours there due to the inability to live on the wage I was earning. Bummer. I have an inquisitive mind, I like to know the ins and outs of anything that comes up - whether it's a conversation somebody else started, or a thought that crept into my brain of it's own accord. I like to ask questions, and I like to try to answer them - not with an actual ANSWER, but with what I think, why I think it, how somebody else might see it, and god knows how many other ways of looking at a topic. I enjoy this just for the sake of it. I can and do sit around for hours with any of my friends that are so inclined and talk about anything under the sun, including things I have next to no knowledge of - such as politics :0) I just like to think and be challenged.
I am an eclectic pagan, influenced by animism, a dash of pantheism and probably a lot of other outlooks too. I don't like to put too specific a label on what I believe, as this is given to change with any new thought I may have. I have a very fluid belief system.
I am passionate about animal welfare, particularly but not limited to cats. I am a foster carer for a shelter not too far away (bout an hour) from where I live, and very shortly I will be doing my induction (basically it's an info day imo)at the RSPCA about an hour and a half away from where I live, and become a volunteer at the shelter. I will be helping out at my first fund raiser after that which is the Million Paws Walk, the biggest fundraiser of the year on the RSPCA agenda.
I love playing and coaching netball, although I have taken a break from club level this year, and am only organising and playing in a team for a local indoors night comp this year. The training nights for club netball don't suit my schedule, but I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a better job and playing at this level again next year. I am a one-eyed Collingwood supporter (AFL), and I also like to watch a bit of cricket.
That's me in a nutshell, as best as I can describe myself for the moment. No doubt with more entries there will be more of *me* to be seen. I might try to add one new fact about moi with each entry :)
